Discovering Ninite.com

✉️ A Simple Email That Changed My Routine

Today I got an email from a friend. It only said:
"ninite.com. You will love it."

I clicked the link and found a gem. It is a tool that installs the latest versions of essential software on your machine automatically. You just select the apps you want, download a small installer and run it. That’s it.

Coincidentally, my Windows installation had started acting strange. It thought it was not genuine anymore. That was enough reason to say goodbye and do a clean format. And now I had two solid reasons to refresh my system.

🧹 A Clean Start with a Powerful Tool

Here’s what I did step by step:

  • Backed up my Firefox profile
That way I would not lose any bookmarks, saved logins or extensions.

  • Inserted my Windows 7 DVD and installed a fresh copy
No unnecessary hesitation. Straight to the point.

  • First site I visited after installation: ninite.com
I selected all the programs I usually use:
Firefox, Chrome, Java, Winamp, uTorrent, WinRAR, Dropbox, CutePDF, MSN, VLC...

  • Hit install and that was it
Ninite downloaded the latest versions of everything
It installed them silently with default settings
No toolbars, no popups, no clicking through 10 “Next” buttons

While it worked in the background, I was sipping my coffee and watching it do the job.

🔄 Bonus: It Updates Too

Later on, I discovered an even better feature.

If you run the same Ninite installer again, it checks your system and updates any outdated apps silently. No effort required.

That turned Windows reinstallations into something anyone can do even those who previously struggled with driver installs or endless setup wizards.

✅ Final Thoughts

Ninite made my post-format experience so smooth I wondered how I lived without it.

No more searching for download links
No more old installers from USB drives
No more unwanted toolbars
Just a single installer and peace of mind

I wholeheartedly recommend it. If you are setting up a new Windows machine or helping friends with theirs, Ninite is the easiest way to get things done right.

And for those who still cannot manage to install Windows with a tool like this available... that is just embarrassing.
